I suggest you try Thirdlane PBX (http://www.thirdlane.com).
I did a large call center using Thirdlane.
you will find the best any easy configuration for agents, ringing groups and queue.
It has vtigercrm CRM also.

I tried elastix (http://www.elastix.org) and I added the call center module on it but it didn't work properly.

About the phones I suggest you use free soft phones like SJ Phone, X-lite.

Startwith Trixbox (Asterisk at Home). You will need SIP phones (Linksys, Grandstream, etc). I believe Trixbox still has the CRM and other sutff you want. Start from there and 'google' and build up.

Setting up a call centre, help needed

Hello all. I have been tasked with setting up a training call centre for our College. It will be set up in a training room. There is no need for an external line as all calls will come from withiin the call centre itself. We have a supply of computers and monitors. We need phones and would like them to be powered via usb/catv? we also need software and a crm. Can anyone here give me some guidance at all? Many thanks. Alex.
