Read a different extension number in Voicemail?

Posted:Thu 20 of Aug, 2009 (00:14 UTC)
Does anybody know a way to force the Voicemail application to read out a different extension number than what is defined in voicemail.conf?

For example, normally you might get: "The person at extension 1 2 3 is not available, please leave a message after the tone, etc"

when voicemail.conf contains:

123 => 6666,Joe Bloggs,jbloggs@yourdomain.com

In the solution I'm building at the moment, the voicemail box is named something other than the persons actual extension number. (it's actually alphabetic, rather than numeric, for reasons I won't explain for now!). For example, my voicemail.conf contains:

Joe_Bloggs_1 => 666,Joe Bloggs,jbloggs@yourdomain.com

By default, the voicemail app goes: "The person at extension 1 is not available, please leave a message after the tone, etc", because there is a "1" in it, but I still (if possible), want to find a way to make it say "The person at extension 1 2 3 is not available, please leave a message after the tone, etc", even though there is no "123" in the voicemail.conf.

Thoughts?
