I'm not sure what is your exact requirement and why do you want to do so, but still you can use pcap library to sniff packets over network interface. It will do the work.

running a script when a VoIP calls arrive

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to do a little script (it should run into the bash of Ubuntu) that runs when start/end a VoIP call. The calls in question, using SIP, so I could watch the INVITE / BYE .... but I do not know how to do. What i would like to do is something like this:

If there's a SIP INVITE
then ./script1.sh

when SIP BYE arrives
then ./script2.sh

Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Luca
