I meant, of course, that I ported the local phone number to the asterisk DID number. The toll free is still ringing on that number albeit now through the voip system.

I have a toll free number.
The toll free was ringing on a physical analog ATT number. It still rings the same.
The toll free is from a standard, old provider.
I ported that number to a DID on a Pbx in a flash box.
That all works fine.

So I have two kinds of calls that come in on the DID.
Local calls, and toll free calls. There is caller ID coming with both types.

What I want to do is send the calls that come in from the toll free to a voicemail,
and have the local calls continue to ring on the phone on my desk.

I asked the toll free provider if they could do anything to tag the calls, they say no.

I was under the impression all this sort of routing was doable today.

I read a little on e164 but I don't really understand it.
I asked the toll free company if they could put distinctive ringing on it and they say no.

What can I do?
