how do I "monitor" my VoIP adapter for call start/end to launch a QoS script?

Hi,

I've found, and would like to use, Carceri's VoIP QOS script @

h++p://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/QoS+with+Linux+using+PRIO+and+HTB

The script itself seems clear enough, but its use depends on monitoring the VoIP ATA & the start/finish of calls placed thru it:

"So how does this all fit together? I am using a Sipura 2000 adapter for VoIP and I have written a small program that will monitor the adapter, and when a call is started it will run this script with the "prio" parameter. When the call is ended, the normal script is run."

But that "small program", key to success here, is not mentioned :-/

How exactly do I 'watch' for the start of a call and then run the QoS script on my linux iptables firewall/router box?
