Negative Impact of WEBRTC on Asterisk/Telephony Application vendoes and Customer service Business

I am an Java Telephony Developer, I am working on Project “”VOIP-Phone-with Asterisk” for Screen pop and call handling using browser,also IVR. I was planning to use Applet to take Voice on browser. But now i learn WEBRTC which will make it more easy to take voice on Browser.
Q-My Question is how much impact the WEBRTC will have on Asterisk? Q-Now all the customers will switch towards having their own web server for Customer Service? connecting directly the customer and their agent using webserver(webrtc) Of-course they wont be able to connect User who are not using browser?
Should i continue with my Project, or it does not make any sense because WEBRTC will take up all the Business, and it will be difficult for Projects like mine to Survive in market? I am Scared?
