ANI2 is a 2 digit code that indentifies what kind of phone line a call is being placed from.

Common ANI2 codes are:

• 00 = Ordinary POTS call - not payphone
• 01 = Party line
• 02 = ANI Failure
• 27 = Payphone with network provided coin control
• 70 = Payphone without network provided coin control

This code is also known as:

• CPC (Calling Party Category)
• ISUP-OLI
• OLIP (Originating Line Information Parameter)
• CPC-GTD

In SIP messaging, this code is usually included as a tag in the 'From' header line, but see
