All major software features in Asterisk Business Edition are thoroughly tested for functionality and reliability. Test bed systems are also subjected to extreme stress conditions using Empirix test equipment to simulate hundreds of thousands of calls in various real-world combinations and configurations.

As a result, customers can rely on their combination of proven Asterisk software and Digium hardware to work together to provide a feature-rich PBX or VoIP system.

End of support

As of August 1 2010 Digium stoped selling new Asterisk Business Edition licences as the open source version was more and more accepted by businesses and Digium's open source support subscriptions took over. Old licences do not have expiration dates so they can continue to be used and support will be provided by Digium until the subscription expires.

Digium advices to migrate to an open source subscription so customers can continue to receive support and the limitations on concurrent calls is removed.
