Asterisk Netappel

Here is a working configuration for using NetAppel with Asterisk:


SIP Trunk configuration:


In sip.conf:



[sipnetappel]
username=<Your_NetAppel_ID>
type=peer
secret=<Your_NetAppel_Passwd>
host=connectionserver2.netappel.com

register=<Your_NetAppel_ID>:<Your_NetAppel_Passwd>@connectionserver2.netappel.com


IAX Trunk Configuration:


In ax.conf:


"I though it will be the same settings, but it appears not. Looking for a solution: maybe another connection server..."

How I proceed

I installed the NetAppel client and sniff (with Ethereal for example) the traffic from my station.
In my case I saw that my client registers itself with connectionserver2.netappel.com.
Maybe this one could change. Well I hope not :)
