There is currently no Asterisk port available in http://macports.org, which provides an infrastructure for building, installing, and packaging open source software on Mac OS-X. This has to change. http://macports.info is the leading MacPorts tutorial site that is establishing this bounty funded through http://bountyup.com for the development of an Asterisk port.

This bounty is to fund a working port in MacPorts for the latest version of Asterisk, including an ongoing commitment to keep the port current. Please contribute to this bounty!!
