Asterisk settings for Annatel

Created by: waba,Last modification on Tue 30 of Jan, 2007 [10:15 UTC]

Connecting Asterisk to Annatel

Annatel provides, among other things, local telephone numbers in some countries around the world. They have a semi-official Asterisk config. The comments are in french, but there is nothing that should stop vaguely experienced Asterisk users.

On the technical side, they seem to be using Sip Express Router as a front-end and Asterisk (or its voice package at least) inside.

At the time of writing (27-jul-2006), they appear to be overleasing (sp?) their lines - at least in France. As a result, you may get a busy tone when trying to reach your "virtual" numbers with a perfectly valid config - their lines are just all busy, try again later.

My comment about Annatel overleasing its lines is still true and useful as of January 2007, as far as I can tell. PoWeRKILL, please discuss it here or privately before removing parts of this page again.
