Utstarcom F1000 & F1000G - Wifi SIP Phone

General Info

  • It has excellent batter life.
  • Its extremely small and light weight
  • WEP works good but WPA is still buggy
  • Works with Asterisk
  • Current Firmware is 3.80. (Beta)
Note that some may be locked to a service provider, if you want to use with asterisk, make sure its unlocked.

Curious if reflashing the firmware will be a way around this? Does anyone know? I know that work around works with the Zyxel Prestige P-2000W

In internal tests with this phone I noticed that it gets really hot on longer calls. <br>
As it warmed up, the call quality deteriorated (cracking) until the user can't either hold the phone against the ear, nor carry an inteligible conversation. Warm up time typically 10~15 minutes.<br>
