Please Help: USB Plug and Play SIP VOIP-PHONE

Dear All,

I have checked most of the USB IP Phone products in the markets, but they are not more than a sound card in a telephone like box. Therefore for using these kinds of USB IP Phones, you must first install a soft phone and then change the audio configuration of the softphone to use this USB Sound card for audio and microphone.

Cisco 7975 NTP Config

Can someone shed a little light on where I may be going wrong here. I have a Cisco 7975 setup and registered to my SIP Server - but the NTP will not synch. I have verified with Wireshark - I am getting NTP traffic. I have tried various configurations, with no resolution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Honestly, from the perspective of an engineer for a business VoIP provider, you don't want to host the PBX on your end. We have numerous customers running Fonality, homegrown Asterisk boxes, etc - most of them eventually wash out and get either a hosted solution or go back to analog. If your business isn't telecom, you don't want to be managing that infrastructure. For large companies with Cisco CallManager it might make sense to host premise based, but that is because it is economical to have a full-time telecom person. Without a doubt, if you are looking for VoIP with analog failover you are best still going hosted and then doing a premise based analog backup (ie. using a Cisco IAD).
