The Bad:

Our growing business needed a new phone system and MegaPath has been great to work with. From the beginning our Project Manager was awesome at setting up our entire system and getting it up and running. Now anytime we have issues or question regarding our system, EVERY Voice Operations employee we speak with is courteous, knowledgeable, professional and wonderful to work with; they have worked hard to answer or fix any issues we have. This company is the way to go!!

Transition to new location and phones - Megapath

The Good:

The Bad:

We are a small company with multiple sites in two sites. We moved one of our office locations and upgraded to new Polycom phone sets at both sites. The sales, project management and technical staff at MegaPath helped us to find the best service and equipment solution for interfacing with the building infrastructure and worked with the building owner's IT department located in Italy. In the end, MegaPath came through for us

The Good:

The Bad:

After moving into our new location our old company had delayed our port and MegaPath set up temp numbers to forward and sent 3g hotshots so our office could function due to a speed issue with the dsl line. These people bent over backwards to make sure our business was not interrupted. Ended up putting a T-1 line and that went so smooth. Only once did we have an issue but their tech was here with in 2 hours to reset the system and they forwarded all calls to our cell phones. The problem ended up being an issue with the carriers line. I would recommend Megapath to others based on my initial experience with them and feedback from co-workers

The Bad:

We've had issues with our dsl service for the internet, but when ever we called Megapath, they were quick to respond and made a good effort to get the problem resolved. They worked well with other providers(ATandT) to isolate the problems and get them resolved. Provided new options for alternative types of service and we are currently getting a new T1 line installed

The Good:

The Bad:

We operate a 40-employee landscaping and construction company and Megapath has taken care of all of our data and communications needs. The VoIP service they provide offers a seamless and reliable way to keep in touch with our sales team, field employees, and customers. The system integrates well with our cell phone as well, so that we can always make sure we are available to take calls, and ensure we do not lose any business

MegaPath was a welcome change in quality of service from our previous providers. We had become accustomed to dropped calls and poor customer support. When we finally had had enough, we found MegaPath and its one of the best business decisions we have made. We dont have anymore dropped calls or outages that cost us potential clients. MegaPath also providers our Internet service now too which is helpful to have both services coming from the same provider

Hosted PBX for Mid Size Business - Megapath

The Good:

The Bad:

Since switching our hosted voice system over to MegaPaths Hosted PBX plan, a lot of the headaches of my day to day life as an IT sys admin have been resolved due to having a phone system that just works. Id recommend MegaPaths hosted PBX plan to businesses with a smaller IT staff that would like to focus on other aspects of their business rather than always being worried about the phone system going down. Theres nothing worse than a business losing phone service without warning, and MegaPath has fixed this problem for us

The Good:

The Bad:

We are a small architectural firm with 15 employees and our phones are one of our most important tools. We needed to save money, but maintain all of the features a large company has as far as telecommunications resources are concerned. Megapath helped us with both, we saved money over our traditional phone service including eliminating our PBX technician costs and we ended up with state of the art telecommunications features

Rock solid SIP and Hosted PBX

The Good:

The Bad:

We have used both SIP service as well as fully hosted PBX service from Megapath without any significant issues. Getting started was easy, and the initial sales and set-up call was painless. Sales rep was attentive and we had our phone system up and running in no time. Uptime has not been an issue for our Megapath service, would recommend it to other medium size businesses that rely on phone service

Finally, a business telephone solution that is easy to use and is feature rich. I have been thrilled with the service and support through the entire process. The conversion form our old system to Megapath was fast and seamless. Everyone in the office is happy with the quality and features and we could not be happier. Go Megapath

The Bad:

We signed up with megapath about 8 months ago. Our sales rep was a nice and sharp fellow named Miguel. We got our phones configured and had our entire system fully functioning in a matter of days. Their support team also helped us set up some great features that we rely on now like forwarding missed calls to our cell phones, and being able to send and receive business calls on our cell phone when we were not at our desks. With many of our employees traveling, this was a highly welcomed feature. I would recommend megapath to companies that really need their communications to work around the clock

My business has been using MegaPath for several years now for both voice and Internet service. Their Business Ethernet plan for data connectivity, as well as their Hosted Voice plan for voice are the plans we chose for our business that have worked out well. Weve had a couple minor issues in the past few years but they were able to be resolved fairly quickly by the MegaPath support team. The service has met our expectations thus far

Don't commit without a probationary period.

I'm locked into a 3-year contract with a voice system that is embarrassing to use. In the middle of a call there is 20-30 seconds of dead silence. This is a common occurrence. We had all of our inside wiring replace as they suggested without any improvement in performance. They've been out and were unable to improve the performance that they admit is unacceptable. Still, they have me by the throat on the contract and I'm paying for no voice and really crappy internet.

Worst SIP Provider

Posted:

I have been a partner with MegaPath for a long time and I have to say that they are by far the worst SIP provider I have seen. Customer service is terrible. Sites phone service will be down for hours and no one gives any escalation to it. Refuse to work with partner that are the ones that are growing their business. Stay away!!!

MegaPath provides business phone service to companies of all sizes.

Even before Internet telephony became a widely understood and used concept in the world of business, MegaPath was becoming well known as a VoIP trailblazer. Since its foundation in 1996, the company has made it clear time and time again that its mission is to provide the very best possible technology to business owners and consumers, whether it be for data, voice, or security services. While the company has certainly changed and evolved due to growing and changing needs since its inception, its goal has remained the same: to offer the very best when it comes to VoIP and data security services.

Pros of MegaPath

Although MegaPath is primarily designed to provide services to larger businesses, particularly those that span multiple locations and offices, the company is equipped to service businesses of all sizes and types, including small and medium-sized companies. The network they use follows MPLS standards, which means that the route by which the traffic travels throughout the network can be modified in order to obtain the fastest possible transfer speeds. Not only this, but all of MegaPath's services revolve around a secure network, meaning that clients can be confident in both the safety of their business' data as well as the personal information of their employees.

High-speed internet is undoubtedly the most popular of the numerous services offered by MegaPath. The internet capabilities are available through several different formats, each of which has its own set of features and abilities. It can be argued that perhaps the most widely needed of these offerings is the data-based Ethernet internet service which allows clients to select either identical upload and download speeds or to customize their speeds in a way that suits their needs, for a total of up to 135 Mbps. This type of service is beneficial for many reasons, the most important of which is the business' ability to maintain a connection even in the event of failure in one or more areas.

MegaPath offers several other broadband internet services as well including EODS1 which is ideal for those businesses that crave fast transfer speeds that are unaffected by large distances. Additionally, the company offers T1, T3, managed WiFI, DSL, and other services in order to best meet the needs of all clients.

MegaPath also offers several types of voice services, including affordable SIP trunking which works in conjunction with IP PBX systems. While the prices will vary based on existing promotions and offers, clients can expect to pay as little as $9.95 per trunk when the service is bundled with data. For companies that do not have the ability to manage in-house voice systems, MegaPath offers services that include a myriad of useful features, including call forwarding, CRM integration, voicemail transcription, call recording, and the like. MegaPath also makes managing these features simple through a convenient online portal.

Customer satisfaction is a big priority, with the hosted voice plans including 30-day, 100% satisfaction guarantees as well as 24/7 customer support. Each plan includes over 50 different popular features as well as unlimited nationwide and local calling. The Enterprise Plan also includes unlimited calling to 22 countries as well as low international rates where applicable. The systems are all user friendly, and MegaPath offers complimentary administrator and user training in order to ensure that the client is able to utilize all features of their voice plan optimally.

MegaPath also offers a whole host of other business network services that go far beyond your average voice systems. Redundant cloud hosting provides business owners with the ability to either supplement or replace their current or non-existing infrastructure. Additionally, MegaPath provides SaaS options which include hosting for SharePoint and Microsoft Exchange as well as Mozy-supplemented DRaaS options.

The Consensus

MegaPath has a lot going for it as a business VoIP and network service provider. It offers a wide selection of services and products and has been recognized as a Master Service Provider by Cisco and has received an A+ rating from the BBB as well. The company's commitment to high-quality infrastructure also protects the client from data loss and security breaches. In addition, the promotions offered on MegaPath's products make it an affordable option for many businesses. Some of the most popular bundles and service packages include:

  • Local hosted voice plans beginning at $19.95 per month/user
  • Business voice plans starting at $24.95 per month/user
  • Premium voice plans that include Unified Communications (UC) starting at $34.95 per month/user
  • The Enterprise Plan starting at $44.95 per month and including international calling as well as several premium features
  • Affordable SIP trunking starting at $9.95 per month/trunk
  • Broadband internet 5 x 5 Ethernet bundles costing $289 per month when combined with a voice system service package

In combination with the voice and internet services MegaPath offers, the company also provides a number of "a la carte" offerings such as network monitoring that are required by certain businesses and agencies.

Summary

When it comes to network service providers in North America, MegaPath is certainly one of the top contenders available today. While VoIP is the primary focus of the company, their services extend far beyond this; both their cloud hosting and data services are also powerful tools for any business. The services offered by MegaPath continue to expand and improve all the time, making them ideal for any business looking to stay ahead of the curve. While all businesses' needs will be different, MegaPath's products and services are so diverse that any company would be hard-pressed to find a service provider that offers a more comprehensive array of phone, internet, and network services.
