Nufone

As of February/March 2008, attempts to add new phone numbers to NuFone aren't succeeding. They still accept payments via PayPal, but actually adding a new number results in your account being debited, but no new phone number. Their trouble ticket system and support e-mail contact have not responded to these issues in several weeks.

NuFone Inc. is not related to *nufone of Germany.

Why are you distancing yourself from your customer support and putting them down? Oh wait, there is no customer support.

Wow what a resoponse

by Jerry C on Sunday 27 of April, 2008 [18:58:35 UTC]
Nufone classic again. He actually admits his high school customer service sucks, then puts them down instead of supporting them.

This is just classic of what you can expect from them.

Most of the info on their profile is FAKE, the address is one of those mail service places, none of the POPs are real, and you just have to read here to get a real feel of how they treat customers.

n8twj,

My problem was NOT solved. My support tickets, e-mails, and voicemails were all ignored. I submitted a PayPal dispute. NuFone resolved the dispute by refunding me my money.

My original problem request was issued on 2-19-08, namely, the problem that I was not getting assigned any phone numbers despite my balance going down $5.00 each time I tried. I got a note on 2-22-08 of "we're looking into it" and no more follow-up. I requested a refund on 3-03-08, again with no response. After waiting a few more days with still no more response, I initiated a PayPal dispute to get my balance back.

My goal in signing up for NuFone was not to demand a refund a month later. Instead, I wanted to sign up and get a phone number I could use via SIP and IAX. I did not exactly make any outrageous or difficult demands — in fact, all I tried to do was sign up through the account management interface, without placing any demands on NuFone's customer service.

I appreciate the challenges of running a business, as I do the same thing. However, if I ignored all of my customers for a month, I would quickly find I don't have any!

Your issue was quietly corrected by our still in-training customer service people (yes more than one and does not include myself, thank god) and the trouble ticket was updated as such - sure 3 days after you submitted the ticket, but none-the-less the problem was solved.

Another disappointed NuFone customer.

I'm another person who attempted to become a NuFone customer. After repeated e-mails and trouble tickets, they don't answer to my simple billing problem: My balance has been debited for new phone numbers, but when I go to the screen to show me my phone numbers, none show up.

I don't want to hear about how NuFone is "self service". I've used the self service interface and it simply doesn't work, and nobody at NuFone responds.

If NuFone doesn't want new customers, could they make this clear on their home page?

The NuFone Team

Facts

by n8twj on Tuesday 30 of October, 2007 [01:00:40 UTC]
I will gladly document for you our current public IP addressing situation:

Washington, DC - 64.34.214.150
San Antonio, TX - 66.135.51.62
Los Angeles, LA - 72.51.41.176
Orlando, FL - 209.114.208.193

You will notice the first three data centers are specifically located within the Peer1 backbone. This was a very specific decision based on where our customers are located, along with leveraging the reach and stability of the Peer1 network. The Orlando location was just recently acquired in a deal that is still unannounced.

All of our locations are setup with multiple dual xeon servers running ultra monkey on a dual gig-e network core.

As always, if anyone doesn't like what I am saying, they are very much free to choose another VoIP Provider.

Oh, and some more facts/lies

by Jerry C on Monday 29 of October, 2007 [23:33:21 UTC]
Your address at 1430 Willamette Street isn't even a real address, its one of those PO Box services (most use a street address to "avoid looking like a PO box so that customers are less likely to sense fraud" as one of those providers puts it).

You don't have an office, you work out of your home.

Your claim to have 4 POP's, yet the only thing that actually checks out is that you have a virtual host in Texas, none of the other three even check out. Any real VOIP provider is going to use real dedicated equipment, not a virtual host for hosting their pbx.

Yeah Right...

Jeremy, the ONLY positive thing I've ever seen about your company has been posted by either you or one of your alter-ego's.

I've yet to find ANYTHING positive about your company.

Even the comments going back here a couple years are full of negatives (oh, except for the few that are obviously fraudulent and posted by you).

Accept facts, your company is crap.

I know the truth

by n8twj on Monday 29 of October, 2007 [21:08:46 UTC]
Jerry C your behavior here is very typical of someone looking specifically do to harm, at any cost. William is very much a NuFone customer and yes he was here in the office when I pointed out the crap you are spewing. He took it upon himself to react to the sitaution.

The only thing you have posted thus far are accusations without any factual basis.

I have made a post on my personal blog: http://www.jeremy-mcnamara.com/2007/10/29/tell-me-what-you-really-think-about-nufone/

If anyone has a legitimate situation they want to discuss, feel free to submit a detailed comment. I am completely open to all reasonable, civil discussions.
