Why is this list here?

Sometimes users continue to misbehave despite requests to stop their actions. This list was created in frustration of users that seem to think the Posting Guidelines do not apply to them and the Removed Advertising does not seem to have an impact. This page is an experimental approach to put these actions to a hold.

What are the rules?

  • Only report users that continue to break the informational structure of voip-info.
  • Only report users that have been warned, please don't report users that made an 'one-time' mistake.
  • Only use this page as a final resort.
  • Support your report with adequate proof of misbehavior.
  • The administrator has a final word in taking actions.

  • Be aware this is page is a final resort. Abuse by listing users in personal vendetta is punishable.

Requested removal:

  • 2008-06-14 - SANDY Tries to cover up spamming history + tries editing pages without following guidelines - banned for life.
  • 2008-06-08 - lynn & jenniferhan Comment spamming, reposting non-news for speed-voip.com.
  • 2008-06-08 - shermans Portsip.com under another alias.
  • 2008-04-06 - kamran aka apnavoip, constantly adding SPAM to comments fields...
  • 2008-01-11 - qiujessie Warned in a kind way, but keep on posting about a "Call Center Solution" as news.
  • 2007-12-28 - miladchik for repeatedly removing all the news from the voip-info.org page without any comment, for repeated posting of a misleading link and for ignoring the posting guidelines and repeatedly warnings and miladchik is clearly reading the comments so he isn't unaware of them. At least 5 times in a row now inspite of being told by different users.
  • 2007-11-07 - apnavoip for constant defacing of frontpage and comments spamming.
  • 2007-10-13 - User Paul Lopez keeps repeatedly post about VoIPSlot.com under news.
  • 2007-08-07 - solutions4voip.com New login, same actions. Continuous comments spamming.
  • 2007-04-23 - John Downing Forcing 'just another Partnership' as news.
  • 2007-02-07 - Martin. PortSip, back with a new account, "flamelife"
  • 2007-02-06 - Unifycall. Shoutbox Spamming
  • 2007-01-09 - linxiaoju. Defacing and rigorous comment spamming.
  • 2006-12-26 - Smart Network Solutions. Back from ban, trying to cover up history.
  • 2006-12-15 - kelly aka PC Telecom. Continuous comment spamming on the frontpage. Request to ban all IP addresses of PC Telecom.
  • 2006-12-15 - solutions4voip. Continues to deface pages including the frontpage and spams in the comments. rev.6264, rev.6260 & rev.6248.

Removed users:

  • 2006-12-12 - Smart Network Solutions aka Smartisvoip — banned

Can someone (admin) explain why users are allowed to remove themselves from this list ? We have linkx (who appears to be a fairly busy and respected contributor to the wiki) adding entries, only for "the accused" to be removing themselves.

It's unfortunate (but imo completely appropriate) that it's Paul Gillman, but don't the rules apply to all. Certainly, it should be down to admin to moderate this page, as only they have the power to remove accounts/ban when appropriate.

Good to see that it's not only me that thinks DSC are abusing the wiki though.
