Configuring Asterisk and C470IP to work together

I would suggest looking at the documentation for the C450IP

The MWI functions of the phone do work with asterisk but you need to be aware of a few things.

• The phone sends SUBSCRIBE messages
• The NOTIFY messages need to have the correct Call-ID matching the SUBSCRIBE otherwise you may get a 'SIP/2.0 481 Call Leg/Transaction Does Not Exist' message
• In sip.conf [general] section set subscribemwi=yes (note this may break other phones that don't SUBSCRIBE but need MWI)
• If you then start getting '404' messages you need to ensure the party you are SUBSCRIBEing to has a match in extensions.conf in the devices context
• It appears that whilst the NOTIFY is generated with the cached Call-ID the OK responses don't match a known dialog so they get sent a few times (retransmits..)

Notice: You will hardly find a power adapter for this phone, not because the 6.5V power switch is difficult to be found but the adapter that switches to phone is not a standard one. You have to cut the cord and you loose the guarantee.
