  • NAT Settings
    • NAT Mapping Enable : Informs the SPA that it should discover the public address information for a unit behind a Network Address Translation router/firewall. The SPA will utilize various different methods (STUN/VIA headers/rport headers) to discover what public IP address and port is being used during communication.
    • NAT Keep Alive Enable : Enable/disable support for sending keep-alive packets to keep the pinholes poked through the NAT router/firewall from closing.
    • NAT Keep Alive Msg : Indicate what type of packet will be used for the NAT keep-alive. If the field is blank then a carriage-return (ASCII 13) is sent. If the field has $NOTIFY, a SIP NOTIFY message is sent. If the file has $REGISTER, a SIP REGISTER without any "Contact:" header is sent.
    • NAT Keep Alive Dest: Target for where the keep-alive packets should be sent.

    • EXT SIP Port : If you want or know the specific UDP port you want the SPA to advertise as the public address port, then fill in the value in this field.
    • Auth Resync-Reboot
    • SIP Proxy-Require : The contents of this field will be copied to the "Proxy-Require:" SIP header.

  • Proxy and Registration
    • Proxy : SIP proxy to use. The value can be in the format of URI, hostname:port, IPaddr:port, or domain used for a DNS SRV query.
    • Use Outbound Proxy : Indicates whether all SIP messages must pass through the entity specified in the Outbound Proxy field.
    • Outbound Proxy : The host where SIP messages might be routed.
    • Use OB Proxy In Dialog : Indicates whether to force routing of all SIP message through the Outbound Proxy. This will be acommplished using "Via:" and "Route: " headers added to the SIP message header.
    • Register : Indicates where this line will SIP REGISTER with the entity specified in the Proxy field.
    • Make Call Without Reg : Indicates whether outgoing calls can be attempted regardless of whether the Line successfully SIP REGISTERed with the SIP Proxy. If you set this value to be "yes", then you will always get a dialtone regardless if you successfully REGISTER or not.
    • Register Expires : The number of seconds you would like the SPA to re-REGISTER with the SIP Proxy. The SIP Proxy may override your desired expiration interval.
    • Ans Call Without Reg : Indicates whether your SPA should accept incoming calls regardless if you have successfully REGISTERed with a SIP Proxy. If you plan on making only Peer-to-Peer SIP calls without a SIP Proxy in between, then you would set this to "yes".
    • Use DNS SRV : Indicates whether the SPA should use the information in the Proxy as a domain key for search via a DNS SRV query. If this parameter is "yes" then the SPA will try to find the DNS Service Record of the following construct: DNS_SRV_Auto_Prefix.domain_found_in_Proxy_field.
    • DNS SRV Auto Prefix : The prefix to use when looking up a DNS Service record generated by the domain specified in the Proxy field. The default is, _sip._udp. Therefore, if the Proxy held voip-info.org, the DNS Service record query would be for _sip._udp.voip-info.org.
