hi there,

i was just about to buy a F1000G but after reading that it heats up after 10-15 minutes talktime, i now have second thoughts.
i wonder actually if the F3000 heats up too? since the aerial is not close to the earpiece on the F3000 i imagine that it may not get as hot around the earpiece...

can anybody confirm this please?

I've been using the new UTstarcom F3000 and it is a really great phone. Try it out. It is awesome, especially compared to the terrible WIP330 that I tested!

The UTStarcom F3000 default admin password is "psw".

and for anyone interested, it's a slick phone for its size. It has a lot of potential! I didn't have any problem getting it hooked to my network and later today will try the roaming while I'm at a clients. My main/only real complaint at this time is the volume sucks, its actually worse when you use a headset. It's almost impossible to hear anyone w/out some kind of amplification....

In case you have a reg. prob. with the UT-Starcom u probably use pedantic=yes in your sip.conf and get the errormessage "stale nonce received". Set pedantic = no in your sip.conf and you should be fine.
