Advanced communication system
2N NETSTAR is is a communication system that integrates well-proven ISDN technologies with advanced GSM and VoIP communication networks. It works both like a classic digital switchboard and VoIP softswitch, which allows to utilise such interfaces as analog, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI, GSM and VoIP ones. These features are not provided as separate telecommunication solutions but as a single integrated compact system. The transmission between networks is based on a powerful dynamic Least Cost Router (LCR), which automatically chooses the most efficient route to connect the required network terminals.
The switching capacity is sufficient for large corporate customers or carrier operators:
- Up to 5 ISDN PRI interfaces
- Up to 72 ISDN BRI interfaces
- Up to 212 analog FXO trunks
- Up to 424 analog extensions with CLIP displays
- Up to 72 digital extensions with CLIP displays
- Up to 212 GSM channels
- Up to 96 VoIP trunks
The VoIP communication is SIP based. There is a SIP proxy running in the 2N NETSTAR. It means there can be almost unlimited number of IP phones registred into the proxy and up to 96 users can simultanously make call between the IP and TDM parts of the system. The IP connectivity is solved by internal VoIP boards. Each board consists of up to 32 VoIP channels. Maximum number of these boards is three.
