ALOC = Average length of Conversation
Also known as Average length of Call
ALOC is a metric defined in ITU Recommendation E.437: “Comparative metrics for network performance management”.
Its calculated by taking the total conversation time (from Answer supervision to Call Release) for successfully answered calls and dividing by the
total number of successfully answered calls.
ALOC is useful for monitoring the quality of call route. Changes in the ALOC for a given route often indicate a problem.
