Asterisk cmd SetCIDName

Synopsis:

Set CallerID Name

Description:

Set(CALLERID(name)=name[|a]) (for Asterisk >= v1.2.x)
SetCIDName(name[|a]) (for Asterisk <= v1.0.x)

Set Caller*ID Name on a call to a new value, while preserving the original Caller*ID number. This is useful for providing additional information to the called party. Sets ANI as well if a flag is used.

Note that the channel variable ${CALLERIDNAME} contains the current call’s Caller ID name.
