Configuring a Mitel 5215 IP phone to work with Asterisk

The Mitel 5215 is essentially a Mitel 5220 phone with a lower price and fewer features. The difference is mainly that the 5215 has fewer speed dial keys, a smaller number of phone book entries, and lacks the softkeys in the display that the 5220 has.

However, from a SIP configuration point-of-view it is identical to the Mitel 5220 and to not have information needlessly duplicated you should refer to that page for configuration details.

The only difference is that the default password for the “admin” user is “5215“.
