The latest years have witnessed a strong tendency towards rapid development and wide-spread use of the advanced communication technologies, such as Call From Website, Web-Phone, On-line Consultant, free of charge for end users. Commercial web-sites which use these technologies have reported an average sales growth of 25-30%. It means that a potential customer is ready to get involved in on-line communication and today they need professional services more than ever.
Who Will Benefit From It?
Flashphoner Web Call Server 3.0 is a product specially designed to be used on web-sites with high volumes of communication traffic. This solution is perfect for multimedia contact-centers, telecommunication companies, developers of comprehensive decisions for call-centers. Generally, Flashphoner ensures such on-line communication services as:
1. Call From Website or Click to Call — calls are effectuated directly from a browser. Calls are easily transferred to cellular, land-line or SIP softphones (including various in-company PBX systems) through a telephone SIP-provider server;
2. On-line text-messaging;
3. Free Video-Calls feature may be initiated in one click directly from a browser if a web-camera is available;
4. Call recording and IVR setting;
5. Other video- and audio-conferencing features, use of web-phones as a flash sip-telephone for calling to any kinds of phones. For more information on all features, please, refer to the Company corporate web-site.
Operation and Setting Aspects
One of the most important product features: the software is delivered with no limitations on the number of connections, which is rather convenient, especially if compared to similar solutions provided by other companies. It means that installation of the software shall incur no additional licensing if the number of connections needs to be increased.
The software client-side has been developed on the basis of an open-source Flash, WebRTC API and Javasript/CSS code. That's why it is flexible enough to be implemented in corporate systems integrated into virtual and land-line PBXs (for example, Click to Call configuration through Asterisk), etc.
When call routing from a web-site is configured, you only need to set up connection rules which shall ensure: direct all calls directly to GSM- or PSTN-telephones; distribute calls directing them to softphones or groups of subscribers through an in-company PBX; direct outbound calls through a corporate billing system for provision of outbound calls directly from a browser.
Calls from a website on the basis of product are performed by deployment of server-side hardware on a separate Linux-server and configuring it for the SIP-account with your VoIP-provider. Then one of the standard widgets is installed, for example, Click to Call or Web-phone.
In cases of more complicated routing patterns, product can connect to a web-server and get SIP-accounts and calls routing in XML. Thus, dynamic routing adapting to a specific page or to the data provided by a user can be organized. A user's call then shall be directed to a respective number or office through a relevant SIP-account.
How Can I Try It?
To test product video- and audio-calls, use the standard browser softphone provided in the package and installed as a demo-softphone on the Company web-site (http: //goo.gl/ybj2k). Product allows you to install a similar softphone on any web-site. Enter your SIP-account configurations, as shown on fig. 1 (http: //goo.gl/xUwvT)
For on-line browser audio- and video- communication a user of a site with integrated Flashphoner Web Call Server 3.0 applications will need a microphone, loudspeakers or earphones and, optionally, a web-camera.
For example, a multi-line Click2call widget is installed on your site. Multi-line means that several users can make calls simultaneously with the help of one and the same Click2call button.
Let's look at this example:
Anna clicks on the "Call From Website" button and calls to your New-York office, Boris, by clicking the same button, calls to a Moscow office cellular phone.
They make their calls at the same moment; however, multiple-user communication between Flashphoner WCS and an in-company PBX (e.g. Asterisk) can easily be configured. You'll need to configure widget call rules for several SIP-accounts (1- or 2-line number provided by your VoIP provider) or for one multi-line SIP-account for your company's Asterisk server. Flashphoner WCS operating principle for an in-company server via an Asterisk PBX may be represented in the following way (fig. 2, http: //goo.gl/WsOsQ).
You can find a detailed description of Flashphoner SIP-trunk configuration of one multi-line or several SIP-accounts integrated with Asterisk on the software web-page (http: //goo.gl/I4lRq).
IVR may also be used for multi-line routing configuration of a web-phone integrated into an in-company PBX. A calling user shall be directed to a voice menu where they can choose, for example, a department of your company which might help resolve their problem: sales, support or financial department.
