total 53 extensions. A small business is looking for trunk provider for out going calls.
Localphone charges 0.5 c per minute. Anyone better than this price?
Thank you

bulkvs is orders of magnitude less expensive. Search the forum for instructions. its is a pain to set up but worth it moneywise when you are done. I have found the call quality acceptable.

Bulkvs offers e911 service but AnveoDirect does not. Both have good per-minute rates. I like the voice quality with AnveoDirect better than BulkVS but both are acceptable carriers with excellent pricing.

BulkVS voice quality issues?? Inbound / Outbound, or both? What types of issues?

Inbound and most would probably not notice. I usually only notice it when someone puts me on hold at one of my systems. The music is very distorted like a bad cell phone connection. If I chose a DID routed through a different carrier, the music is clear. Even though the CODEC is g711, it sounds like BulkVS is doing some kind of compression or CODEC conversion on the inbound leg. Outbound sounds fine.

Have you run it through anything like wireshark or anything to see if they are actually dropping packets? I have nothing inbound from them, but now you've peaked my curiosity and I'm afraid I'll have to grab a DID just to test for any latency or packet drops from their network.

Great information. Thank you. 0.03c per minute. Havent seen anything better than this.

Which one do you guys use for inbound? Vitelity is on my list now.

I really like Skyetel for both inbound and outbound. Anveo as a good backup

I use Anveo-Direct as my primary inbound and outbound. I have a Vitelity account with a number on it for e911 service. I also have BulkVS as inbound/outbound at another location with Anveo-Direct as backup.

Vitelity doesn't let you sign up online anymore since being bought out but their service is rock-solid for inbound
and outbound. It is not the least expensive. I recommend that you have two or three carriers on a system to insure you'll have service if one of them has issues. I am also fond of Skyetel because of their infrastructure and quality, but they are not one of the least expensive.

No I haven't messed with Wireshark. The issue is just not that important to me. Voice sounds fine both directions. The music thing is just an anomaly that isn't really causing an issue. Its more of a curiosity than a problem.

Years back, I had a similar problem with Vitelity at one point on one specific DID number. They ultimately found a problem with an upstream carrier in an intermediate POP. If I recall correctly, the pop was converting the g711 stream to GSM or g729 to squeeze more traffic through their link.

I have dozens and dozens of originating numbers with them (toll free and local, Canada and the US) and have never heard this issue. I'd be inclined to raise a ticket; the originating carrier for the ratecenter you're working with (ie the NXX NXX part) that BulkVS is connected to may have a misconfiguration. My only problem with BulkVS has been an inability to terminate some calls in Canada since COVID due to volume. Anveo can terminate them but it's LONG PDD (post dial delay) which means they're trying a lot of carriers. I opened a ticket with BulkVS - they tried 3 carriers but none could get through to cell phones on one of the carriers. I've heard "around" that the carriers in Canada are prioritzing their own traffic over interconnects and this is happening sporadically.

The audio delivery is direct from the actual DID carrier with BulkVS, so I doubt that the streams are being converted or further compressed by them.

Anybody have experience with this one. unlimited 3 channel for $25

There is no free lunch. Better read their terms of service if you think you'll load up on 3 channels. If someone loaded them, they'd lose money and nobody is in business to lose money. Has to be based upon 2,000 minutes / month / channel

I'm using V1VoIP for origination without issues.

As I was running my end of month trial reports I noticed that one of our trunks really stood out this month (exceptionally busy because of Covid-19) in terms of low cost, sustained availability and US number reaching ability. It's a trunk provided by telecomsxchange.com; TCXC-CLI. They only charge US$0.0019 (less than 2/10 of a penny per minute), that is less than half the cost of Localphone.
Even more importantly TCXC-CLI has been reliably delivering all CIDs - which was the main issue we discontinued using Localphone some time ago (except when we have difficulties reaching EU numbers with other providers at which time Localphone still works for us although without consistent CID transmission)

We offer good rates, let us know if we can help!

Thought I'd do a refresh on TelecomsXchange here. I've been using the service for about a year. It's pretty dang good.
You have to watch the providers for price changes. I'm signed up with Ward's offer, which gets you on the platform for free, but there is a 13% fee on your deposit. That may seem like a lot, however, the wholesale rates are SO low. For a CLI Route for NA Numbers, I'm paying $0.000938 per minute. With a 13% premium, that is still $0.00105994 per minute! (Sellers is TollFreeDollars). CLI has been very accurate. Call quality is absolutely perfect. TCXC-CLI is also very good, but they are reselling foreign carriers, and caller ID for US calls shows up like +1603NXXXXXX, and calling somebody back does not work!! No such issues with TFD. I also buy Nexmo DIDs from TCXC. The cost is lower than Nexmo direct, and there is no metering on inbound calls. So, I have to highly recommend TelecomsXchange. Ward's sign-up link is here: https://www.telecomsxchange.com/nerdvittles/
