Hello, have just installed a fresh Incredible PBX 2020.3 for Raspberry Pi as per https://nerdvittles.com/?p=31616

Anxious not to "break" anything so after some wisdom on a few things that are confusing for a newbie ...

I note there are seemingly many ways to keep the install up to date, and a few veiled warnings about NOT updating things, but I'm not sure which is which and what I'm meant to be avoiding?
Obviously the "update-IncrediblePBX" script runs automatically each time you login, so that seems self-explanatory.
There is a "update-asterisk16" script, am I meant to be running that regularly/occasionally?
There is also instructions in the article for keeping the FreePBX 15 modules up to date, as in:-

fwconsole ma upgradeall
fwconsole reload
/root/sig-fix

But then there is also a statement about "then we probably don’t need to repeat that now is not a good time to be indiscriminately updating FreePBX modules using the Module Admin utility. Chances are pretty good that you may irreparably break something" so that caused me to pause somewhat.

Which of the above should I be doing and when (if ever)? :)

Also, I assume there is some way to keep the actual Raspian Buster OS up to date as well?
How do I do that?
Also, I note the Pi image doesn't have Webmin installed. Is this deliberate?
Is it OK to install it?

Any help and guidance greatly appreciated.

Thanks @wardmundy for your continuing great work!

As installed, everything is firewalled off from the Internet so the bad guys can't even see your RasPi. Best advice I can offer is (1) visit the forums regularly and look for posts about new security vulnerabilities. (2) Unless you find a problem discussed, leave everything the way it was installed. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

p.s. Make a backup.

Thanks @wardmundy , have already done my first SD card backup using rpi-clone, but you have confirmed my thoughts re: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
You didn't comment re: feasibility/advisability of installing Webmin?

WebMin is a great tool for looking at how Linux works. It's a very dangerous tool on Incredible PBX if it is used to make system modifications because the WebMin developers have no idea how their changes affect interdependencies with Asterisk, FreePBX, MySQL, and Apache. WebMin also works its magic under the covers so users have no idea what's been changed or how to reverse any damage that is caused. So... we've elected not to include it because of problems it has caused in the past.
