How are greetings from an old PIAF .wav and .WAV transferred to the 2027 edition so that they are used instead of the generic messages? I can create new messages which work properly and then copy over the old ones which are ignored by the system. This is needed for out the area users.

Finally, is there a way to backup the key files and restore to another newer Incredible version so that if an in-place upgrade fails, the latest backup will painlessly and quickly be restorable?

I am just starting out with 2027 and my advice might be worth less than 2c but I think you can upload the old recordings using Admin- System Recordings- Add New system recrding

I assume you are asking about IVR, if you are asking about Voicemail., I am not sure.

Voicmail box recordings are in
/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/*

They must be owned and read/writable by the asterisk user.

Formats supported are in /etc/asterisk/voicemail.conf
