NECA (National Exchange Carrier Association, Inc.) is a USA membership organization of
over 1,350 telephone companies and exchange carriers created in 1984.
- manages the access charges phone companies pay each other when they exchange phone traffic
- management of the USF (Universal Service Fund)
- management of the TRS (Telecommunications Relay Service) fund
- Administration of OCN (Operating Company Number) assignment
NECA sells access to its data, although some the information is available free
