Tips on Asterisk in New Zealand

Problems

Calls from Vodafone NZ customers or via WorldXchange 0800 numbers

We found that calls coming from Vodafone NZ customers or via WorldXchange 0800 numbers that arrived via our PRI at a destination that didn’t result in the line ringing (eg. an unregistered SIP extension with voice mail) caused the caller to get dead air. This was fixed by adding the following to the begining of the context that first handled the inbound call.
