Sonus Completes Merger with GENBAND, Rebrands as Ribbon Communications

Following the May 23rd announcement of its merger with GENBAND,  Sonus Networks, the global provider of secure and intelligent cloud communications, has recently announced the completion of their transaction. Moving forward, the new company formed from the merger of Sonus Networks and GENBAND will be known as Ribbon Communications.Ribbon Communications Company Logo

In connection with the closing of the transaction, Sonus Networks will begin conducting business as Ribbon Communications effective October 31. 2017. “Today is a tremendous day as we bring together two companies that have been at the forefront of real-time communications into a single, unified entity focused on serving our customers and moving the industry forward,” said Ray Dolan, the President and CEO of Ribbon Communications. The company will also continue to trade on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker SONS until their new corporate name (Ribbon Communications Inc.) and its new ticker symbol (RBBN) become effective by the end of 2017.

Bosch Partners with Avaya to Power Its Next Generation Workplace Strategy

To help Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services, improve its digital transformation strategy, Avaya has recently signed a $60 million deal with the company. Under the agreement, Avaya Private Cloud Services (APCS) will provide a wide range of business communications solutions to 160,000 Bosch employees worldwide for five years as part of the group's wider “Next Generation Workplace” project.

Designed to further support a globally connected and agile workforce, the “Next Generation Workplace” aims to make efficient mobile working even easier for employees by leveraging Avaya Private Cloud Services that include private cloud-based voice and contact center and collaboration services. Avaya’s infrastructure integration solution will also provide enterprise-grade voice services to Bosch’s employees where they are interfacing through the Skype for Business desktop client. Additionally, the contract with Avaya enables Bosch to take advantage of Avaya Breeze applications and Avaya Oceana customer experience solutions.

Masergy Blends Contextual Communications and On-Demand Collaboration with New Communicator Hub

RingCentral Adds New Powerful AI, Bot, and Application Integrations to its Connect Platform

In keeping with the company’s mission to “revolutionize business communications by making it open, integrated, and pervasive”, RingCentral, the global leader in Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) has announced last Tuesday that the company will be adding new integrations. To help businesses better automate processes and to enable seamless and intelligent business workflows, RingCentral will be integrating with Gmail, Alexa, and Slack

RingCentral has also advanced its integration for Glip team collaboration by adding artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbot enhancements to their solutions.
