sip connection based on SSH Tunnel

Author image

I’ve implemented SIP connection based on SSH Tunnel to secure the SIP Message.
Prerequests:
SIP server:
version: FreeSWITCH (Version 1.2.21 git bdc4005 2014-02-12 22:26:47Z 64bit)
IP: public ip(eg: 199.101.129.xx)
Port: 5060 TCP

Client:
Bria 4 – username: 198407, password: xxxxxx
SecureCRT Version 7.1.1 (build 264)
IP: internal IP behind NAT
register domainname: voip.domain.net
OS: Win7 32bit

STEPS:
1. Create SSH tunnel in SecureCRT Port Forward
foward local TCP 6060 to Remote 5060
2. Edit C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc to add entry
‘127.0.0.1 voip.domain.net’
3. Add an account in Bria and fill the register infor, Note the host is voip.domain.net:6060
Then wait register OK
