Skype IVR

A Skype IVR application can be set up by configuring an IVR software to use a Skype service. Skype is not SIP based, however, Skype is working on a new release to support SIP.

Unlike traditional IVR system, there is no need for any telephony hardware when setting up a Skype IVR system.

How do people call a Skype IVR?

Skype provides a SkypeIn number, which is a regular phone number. People call the SkypeIn number the same way as any other landline or cell phone number. Callers cannot tell any difference between a regular phone number or a SkypeIn number.
