Developed by asterCRM, asterBilling is a real-time billing software, same as asterCRM, it is open source and could work with all asterisk based VoIP system. It could be used mainly for a hosted call shop solution, or billing for office IP PBX system.
it connects to your asterisk via AMI, no need change dialplan so it would not affect anything on your original system.
it is billing based caller id, u just add the caller id of the sip phone to astercc then u can billing that phone
u can also use astercc to grab real-time calls in your asterisk, it will insert a new record to one MySQL table, and remove it when the call hangup. it might be useful for u to make a call centre system, and in fact, asterCRM is working with astercc.
