Hi there,

I have recently installed incrediblePBX 2020 on a hetzner VPS, The only issue I’m having is the dashboard hangs on 91% every time I load it, any ideas of what’s wrong?

Thanks

Mark

I have a Digital Ocean vps that does exactly the same thing. Don't know why it hangs up either.

Try updating all of the FreePBX modules. Seems to resolve the issue.

i have 2 installs on Vultr. An older install has this problem, the more recent one does not. I did do the module update and did not fix it.
The old one with the problem is asterisk 16.6.2. The new one is asterisk 16.7.0 and does not have this delay.
How do i update the asterisk without breaking anything?

I did the asterisk update. Now is listed at 16.7.0. Dashboard delay is still there. The rest of the system is behaving. I think i will just leave it alone since it does not seem to affect the function of the PBX.

I have a PBX 716 that I'm working on getting setup, and I'm now seeing the delay at 91% as well. I just updated mine yesterday to current modules, and it started after that. Previously I had it all updated on Friday I believe and it wasn't happening. Is there a log that I can pull to list what was updated yesterday, I believe it was only 4 or 5 modules, and that might shed some light on where the issue is.

try deleting all RSS's in advanced settings.

RSS feeds removed. Now it hangs at 75%. System seems to be fine otherwise.

Once the dahboard loads, if you hit the refresh for the system overview, you get the same amount of delay.

All of the other sections when refreshed takes less than a second to refresh. Something on the System Overview is hanging up.

As was noted at the outset, current releases don't have this issue so the solution should be obvious. Make a backup. Install a new server. Verify that there's no problem. Then restore the backup and see if the problem returns. If so, cut-and-paste to a new server. Otherwise, you're home free.

Sorry, this is obvious how to do this with a Raspberry pie. What is the best method to do this with an PBX-716? I just received it on Friday of last week from ordering it in November. I'm having a hard time finding documentation on how to reload it.

Safest way is to install the latest RasPi 2020.3 image and then cut-and-paste settings from your old platform. Then make a backup and keep it current.

My confusion, is on a Raspberry Pi, you flash the storage from an image. I have no idea how to do that with the clearlyip pbx716. Is it just a Raspberry Pi.

@toddhutch: Sorry I misread your post. Why do you need to reload the Incredible PBX 2020 appliance?? It already has a custom build of Incredible PBX 2020 to support its FXO and FXS ports.

I'd rather not, but after updating modules over the weekend, the dashboard is hanging at 91%. I'm just trying to fix that.

For those experiencing dashboard hangs, have you tested your ability to send and receive an email?

Reportedly, the Dashboard sends an email when it first loads and will hang if there's a mail problem.

Test with this:
Code:
echo "test" | mail -s testmessage [email protected]

Simple email solution: Add noreply.incrediblepbx.com just before localhost entry in hosts file in etc folder. Then issue command: hostname noreply.incrediblepbx,com. Then test again.

I used the "Using Gmail as a SmartHost for SendMail" guide for setting it up. I also confirmed it is working by using the test email command you put above.

When I log into the device should I be seeing Raspbian patches for the appliance?

The Raspbian patches only get loaded on Raspbian-based PBXs.
