Even with that, I could literally find nothing on them at all. I did listen to a number of their examples, and some do sound great, but some do sound robotic. The thing is they do not have Mexican Spanish. They do have an example of their Spanish from Spain, but it sounds emotionless.

I honestly wonder if they are using the exact same engine, because their layout and everything sounds almost identical. They have a 30 day trial, and there is no Mexican on their pro? Are you going to try it out?

It is possible they are using the same engine. Could explain why there is nothing on a search about them. They list all their voices. While there are a lot of different voices for languages, I would of expected a lot more of Spanish since that is in the top three in the world of spoken languages. Also , I noticed there is no "A.I." option for SpeechVid, unlike Speechelo.

I notice they only list about 100 voices, yet they say they have "Over 301+" human voices. They also mention "The only A.I. Software that adds inflections" ... I'd almost be more surprised if it wasn't the same.

Looking at their screenshots of the menus, I did not see an A.I. option like Speechelo has. I did see where you could add those items in yourself.

The thing is, I just tried Goolag search, and even there, the only result returned was a Goolag ad for the service. That's kinda scary when even that Spy outfit has nothing on them. Also, I really need that Mexican Spanish. If they had it listed, I would of jumped on it already, especially their pro version. I may still do it.

I suspect both Speechelo and SpeechVid are independent resellers of whatever central text-to-speech engine is in use. In playing more with Speechelo, when generating speech, I frequently see long pauses before it renders the text into the MP3. Its not too serious but perhaps the central servers are overtaxed. Since signing up with Speechelo, I get email spam from them several times per day trying to sell pro service, invite me to their "How to make money" seminar, etc. The product is good but I had to unsubscribe from their mailing list.

It could be, but one would think they would offer all the same voices. Spechelo offers many different Spanish accents from different countries, while SpeehVid only offers from Spain, and the US. Not sure what the US one is supposed to sound like, but from my experience, it is more like Spanglish along the US Mexico border. Like in Spain near the border of France it sounds more like Frogish ;-)

Don't know that I'd say that. I still suspect Like @kenn10 that they're reselling the same engine use. They mention 301 voices, yet only list 100 on their website.

I was just watching a video on a comparison to Speechelo vs another company called Talkia. They showed the web interface for Talkia. It looks completely different, BUT there is a major difference. It clearly shows Talkia is not using their own TTS engine.

I already use Google engines for some STT and TTS, but was looking for something different. ... FYI - I do believe that although they may use the same underlying engine, that their implementation may be different. Any you are correct, there is no Mexican spanish on the competitor.

Yes , but they all may be using Google and Amazon TTS engines. How many are out there we are aware of? Google, Amazon, and IBM?
The "WaveNet" ones cost more which suggests the "Pro" versions are using that also

The standard voice may be similar ... the AI voice with the AI tone of "normal, friendly, serious" are pretty nice. I'm considering just going Pro on Speechelo and have a nice little toolkit that totals to under $200. Then if you want some nice Mexican Spanish, I'll sell them to you cheap and recoup my money - LOL

Looking further, I see Amazon Polly has a Mexican Spanish under their lower end pricing. This suggests Speehelo is using Amazon. Seems they just have made easy to use interfaces for those services,

Here's another. It is very easy to load these into FreePBX as system recordings.

Yes, I can see such a use for this. There are so many clients that HATE doing their own voicemail recordings. This could solve that. Nice voice, which one was that?

Now if I can figure out how to make a better fidelity version that Asterisk will read... When I import the mp3 into the system recordings and output as .wav, a lot of fidelity is lost.

Huh? Well I didn't even think of that, assumed it would be good. You figure it out?
I hear what you mean ... it's like going from 64bit to 32bit or something as far as quality goes. It's still good, but not that deep robust sound from before.

Maybe try converting it with Tenacity?
