Asterisk 23, anyone running it?

It's literally just a snapshot of a production version of framework that you would have run in production already.
That may be the case. But it's not framework that has been blocking the install of Asterisk 23 on FreePBX 17. It's their installer script which, according to you, was resolved in the EDGE release 8 MONTHS AGO. So our policy still stands, we don't explore or deploy EDGE releases for production versions of Incredible PBX.

The installer scripts that you are modifying are framework files. So yes, its 100% the version for framework being used that is blocking the install of Asterisk v23. The freepbx-17.0-latest.tgz just packaged it in the "freepbx" directory for installation. So when you are editing anything in /usr/src/freepbx it's all framework files. You are editing these framework files:

The EDGE installer use framework 17.0.21.5 while the original one uses 17.0.19.32 which was released before Asterisk v23 so the version checks stop at lower than 23.

Thanks for the lesson. And there's more good news. If and when Sangoma ever updates the packaged framework installer to the EDGE release, Incredible PBX 2026 will continue to install reliably without further modifications on our side.
