the feature code for recording on demand

I tried to find out what feature code I should press so I can record phone conversation on demand. But I failed to see any key or command to do so. I saw somewhere using *1 but I don't think it works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In-Call Asterisk Toggle Call Recording default is *1.

But I tested a few times and it is not doing what it suppose to do. No recording. Has anybody tried on pbxinaflash 1.3 version? I know the setting alway recording is working, just on-demand option seems has problem.

Solved - On demand recording not working

the setting for enabling on-demand recording was not turned on. Here is what I did to get it resolved.

go to the setup - general settings:
1. asterisk dial command options: trwW
2. asterisk outbound dial command options: twW
3. extension recording override: disabled

This setting will work with both the on-demand recording by pressing *1 and the always recording.
