Which firmware for Cisco 79xx phones is everyone using?

I have P0S3-08-8-00 running on mine just fine - wouldn't mind testing P0S3-08-9-00 if someone has the image.

71's?

what firmware version for 7971 would any recommend?

i'm currently running SCCP70.8-0-4SR1S currently and wouldn't mind having Park and Xfer working for once...

I am using P0S3-08-6-00 with no apparent issues on 7960s.
Any public sources for the latest?

Whats your email aster1sk? I can send P0S3-08-9-00 to you if you want.

SIP for 7961?

Anyone have a copy of SIP firmware for a 7961? Mine arrived today and it's SCCP. :/

Cisco 7945G Sip installation

Hi,

I've gotten a new toy, a cisco 7945G, but it comes with SCCP installed. Now I've downloaded the 8.4.4 SIP software, but is there a howto or FAQ available on how to install and configure it?

Thanks!

It will be the same as the 7970/1 instructions. I have had better luck with the 7965 using SCCP. I had an issue that once it went to SIP and loaded the config, it would never load it again. So you couldn't update extensions or speeddials. I tried a couple of t*f*t*p software packages. If you find one that works, I would be interested. I use tftp32 right now.

Well I've followed the guide for SCCP as described here. In the end, t*f*t*p download seemed to work, but I received an error on the phone so I probably screwed something up. (see last post in that thread) :smile5:

Could you post the content of your XML file so I can compare what's wrong with mine?

Thanks!

Here is a link to mine. you will need to change the IP address of 10.10.10.1.0 to the IP address of your Asterisk box. You will also need to change the line <loadInformation>SCCP45.8-4-2S</loadInformation> to reflect the firmware version on your phone. Otherwise it will try to update it.

Have you followed the instructions to install chan_sccp?

I've followed the instructions to the letter. I'll test it tonight and keep you posted. Thanks for sharing your file!

Well, I finally got it working. Two things that did it for me:

1) I had to open a hole in IPtables. The line to be added was
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 2000 -j ACCEPT
A big thanks to TabbertMJ for helping me out on that one!

2) In the sccp.conf, I had to enable the externip setting with my fixed IP.

Can never get 8-12-00 to work EVER on any of my systems.

I personally like P0S3-08-11-00 best for sip!

I run SIP70.9-3-1SR2-1S on my 7970's with no problems these days.
I have been having problems getting my 7970 working.
SIP70.8-5-4S isn't registering.

I am going to test SIP70.9-2-1S as it is the latest I could find.
thanks for posting,
