I have asked for some scripting help and I didn't get anywhere. Here is a hard $ figure for what I am looking for. Hope I get some responses.
1. Caller call into the PIAF and a prompt asks for their Employee ID.
They enter a 4-5 digit ID.
It prompts them if they are available to work the next day with 1 for yes and 2 for no.
This info is stored into a DB that the manager can either view from the web or is sent via email with all yeses sorted by a predetermined criteria such as seniority.
I need this response pretty quick. Customer is really interested now and wants to see numbers.
Thanks in advance.

Joe, Ward???

You may want to try to post this request on getafreelancer

There are some people there who do some asterisk work.

You will need some kind of external database table to hold on the phone response and some way to show the results of the phone survey

Want to keep it in the family

I understand. I just want to keep it in the family here. There is a lot of talent here.

go to the trixbox forums and PM Dickson.
Super nice guy, probably do it for free.

Hi

I could probably write out what you needed in pseudo code, but PHP is not something I know well enough to do this for you, but any PHP decent developer should be able to do this for you.

I imagine this would be done by calling an AGI script written in PHP to insert and get the values from a database.

You would simply write an IVR to collect the variables, send them into a piece of PHP which did the database updates.

You then need another piece of PHP to display and extract the variables on a web page.

Joe.

No promises, but...

I'll take a look at it... No promises, but I've got a few spare hours on Saturday...

Made some good progress today

but ran out of time... I will pick this up again on Tuesday when I am back in town. Should have something to share either Tuesday or Wednesday...

I am still working on it...

but work and kids are taking up a little more of my free time this week (we're installing several new servers at work and the kids are getting close to the end of the school year and have all kinds of events going on this week)

If you want/need to have someone else run with this, I'd completely understand, but I am planning on having it done this weekend.

THank You

Rick,
There is no MAJOR hurry, I am still selling the entire solution to the customer. It may be that I sell it as a hosted solution first. Please do not kill yourself trying to finish. Let me know if you understand the scope or if you have any questions. We do want to extend the availability portion to 7 days vs the next day. So, 1 for Monday, 2 for Tuesday, etc...Also a web view as well as email...I know a lot to throw. We will have to record the prompts ourselves I assume as well correct?
Thanks Rick!

foneman,

I've pretty much got the script version done. The only thing left to do is to build the e-mail notification and knock out a quick web interface.

Right now it only works for "tomorrow" (press 1 for if you're available to work tomorrow, press 2 if you can't).

It'll take me a little longer to noodle out the 7 day schedule, but shouldn't be too tough...

I've recorded all the prompts using Allison (I'm licensed).

I can send you what I've got so far if you want to play with it...

THANK YOU WARD FOR SOME GREAT CODING EXAMPLES!

-Rick

That would be great. I could show the progress of the program and make him drool a little more...JK>>>
