No app developer worth his salt would build on a platform that could easily be closed by the end-user. But, the M$FT hole appears to be a backdoor for somebody. It's been around for 10 years without being addressed. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd chalk this one up to the Feds for "future investigative purposes." It provides a convenient back door to break into any Windows machine and execute code. And it may have been part of a deal to let M$FT off the monopoly hook way back when.
