TIPS 3CX hosted vs roll-my-own cloud

I got an email this morning about getting a free year of hosted 3CX by upgrading to v18 and I'm just curious if hosted it worth it vs rolling my own cloud instance? After the first year, hosted is $100 a year.

Does anyone here have any experience with 'hosted by 3CX'?

I think the licenses are the same price whether you host it yourself, or let 3CX do it.

There is always pros and cons to each.

One possible thing to keep in mind is that "Hosted by 3CX" lacks the parameters menu and doesn't get a static IP provided. Most of the time that wont be a huge deal but it does prevent a few functions that would require parameter changes.
