I agree. If someone asks me which type of PBX to use, my first question is if they would find it useful to run an app on their smartphone that ties in to the phone system. If the answer is yes, then the only option, IMO, is 3CX. I haven't found anything else that works on iPhones very well.

I think the offer is intelligent and offers a rapid way for a business with an older telephone system to quickly provide virtual office capabilities to their staff. This is smart marketing and I applaud their offering it.

If you haven't used their webmeeting capability, you are missing out. Their videoconferencing is great, free, runs on their infrastructure and just works. I dont think its shameless or tasteless at all. They have a good tool that lots of businesses can use immediately for free for three years. But to each their own.
