I am getting a "Connection Failed" message after logging into a2billing. I noticed in the press releases that a2b now supports PHP 5.3, but does anyone know if requires it?

Any other ideas on what is causing the connection failure or how to find out what the trouble might be?

:banghead:

No, PHP 5.3 is not required, simply that it is now supported. Most other GNU/Linux distributions excepting CentOS now use PHP 5.3

Check your /etc/a2billing.conf databse credentials

Ah, thanks for that. The config looked good. It lives in /etc/ now right?

I may not have set chown. Set chown asterisk:asterisk /etc/a2billing.conf and restarted the system. Still can't connect. Any other ideas?

Check you can log into MySQL at the command line with credentials in /etc/a2billing.conf, and also check the apache error log for clues

I think I figured it out. Seemed to go away when I upgraded all the dependencies to php 5.2 and mysql from the repo.

Thanks again for all your help!
