Hello all.

Been away from Asterisk and FreeSwitch etc. for many years. Too much other stuff going on. But now, in my 60's, I have some time to play again.

Although I am going to buy a couple of newer phones, I have a Aastra 57i CT and Aastra 9133i from 10 years ago that I could use somewhere else in the house.

Searched for firmware. But Aastra was taken over by Mitel and nothing on their site.

Spent quite some time searching to no avail.

I have read that firmware 3.x was flaky and to stay with 2.6.x, but can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone here have a good link, or, possibly has one of these older phones with the firmware files.

PM me if you can help.

Thanks.

Already tried that and many others.

All dead links to the firmware !!!

Wow...how did you find that. I scoured the Mitel site and couldn't find it.

Only one 57i CT firmware is there and a bad link but I can try the suggested wayback machine agauin.

Thanks Randy.

if you have the files, I would appreciate them.

I have what I had on the system at home in a tar.gz file. The files are dated (mostly) from 2010 which should be the 2.6.x firmware.

The question is how to get it to you. It's 36MB in size. It's too large to attach it here.

I'll see if there's another way to get this to where you can pick it up. I have a meeting in a couple of minutes, so it will have to be after that.

You are probably better off just purchasing some newer used telephones online.

I already said in the first post...

Shouldn't the 57iCT.st file be around 3MB or less ?

And the 9133i.st around 1.6MB ?

@just-me

Yeah... I'd grabbed all of the .ST files I had.

So, I just extracted the two files you're looking for. No guarantees that these are 2.6.x versions, although they SHOULD be simply because of the dates I see on them.

I had to rename them with .TXT for an extension. Remove that and they should be good to go.

Ancient History 101: My recollection is that a lot of the Aastra stuff disappeared because of all the patent trolls. Those patents have all expired now IIRC.

@wardmundy

That makes sense now. At one time, I remember the links used to be present in the Mitel archive for the old Aastra products. But, that's been a few years.

I still have a handful of 6757i's running in the house from 2009 which is why I still have this older firmware. Never could get the 3.x versions to work or behave correctly.

I think their whiz kid disappeared before the 3.x software was released.

I had a PM for another old Aastra firmware. I hate resurrecting old threads, but this seemed like the most-likely place to put it for others to access.

So, @jpanzer -- here is the file you were requesting. As I stated in the PM, I have no idea what the firmware version of this file is. All I really know about it is that it was something that came with 2.6.x series firmware files for the 6757i.

I'm actually surprised I hadn't deleted it as we never used this model.

In case it's wanted, I am upping what looks to be v3.3.1.4358 for Aastra 6731.
I still have one or two of these around and I believe that's the firmware I'm using on it w/ IPBX.
There's a few files in this dir incl. the Admin guide and what looks like another firmware file with a bunch of .st files in it with 'all models' in the name but these are too large to up to the BBS.
See screencap of contents of the 'all models' file. If any are needed I can up individually or some other way.

If this is clutter lmk and I'll take down the post but I figured it might maybe help someone eventually.

I could use a copy of the Aastra 9143i firmware.
