I have to replace an Aastra phone that is having audio issues for one of my users. Do I just need to unplug the bad phone and log in with extension and password code on a new phone and it will take work as the old phone did in the system?

Thanks,

If you are running the aastra-l scripts that answer is yes however you must use the logout xml application to log the phone out. This process deletes the mac address from the flat file DB.

When you log in the new phone a new entry will be made and the scripts will generate a new config.

Please keep in mind the Aastra XML scripts are deprecated and have issues with the latest Aastra firmware. Some users feel the tradeoff is worth the functionality.

The only other option is REST applications that are commercial modules.
