I'm sharing my message thread with OVH after I spent almost an hour trying to cancel our account:

In your case you need to wait until the VPS service you have on your account is deleted and the perform the deletion request here: https://manager.ca.ovhcloud.com/#/account/useraccount/personal-data

Your service is on manual renewal, so if you do not create the renewal order order until 08/08/2026, the service will then be deleted.

It is paid for and active until 08/08/2026. It is just a matter of waiting until deletion.

As per our deletion process we can only delete accounts after the service is deleted, that is what I meant.

Please pass this thread along to your superiors, and I will warn our customer base to avoid OVH.
 
Its like talking to Comcast or Verizon. I'm not convinced that you even had a human on the other end of that conversation.

Service like that is why I use Rack Nerd and Vultr and Colo Crossing. At least they let you immediately cancel your VM and your account. Sheesh!
