I'm looking for a better mousetrap:

I think a good option would be to press a BLF - and then that caller is blacklist;
Then the caller is processed according to the blacklist module's destination for blacklisted calls.

I rather think someone has already done this. Does anyone know if this exists and if so, do you know where I can acquire that code?

Are you talking about currently-ringing calls?

To blacklist the previous caller you could just set up a speed dial to *32.

No - that's too easy. I want - you answer the call. Some marketing person say's is this Mr. Jones. You press a BLF on your phone that blacklists their number, and the sends the call to wherever you have your "settings -> destination for blacklisted calls"

Something like this... (put in from-internal-custom, test & debug on your own)

exten => *3232,1,Set(DB(blacklist/${CALLERID(num)})=1)
same => n,Gosub(app-blacklist-check,s,1())

Set BLF to *3232.

When you push the caller there it should add that caller's callerid to the blacklist and then put them through the blacklist check, which proceeds to send them to whatever you have defined for blacklisted numbers.

How hard is it to modernize it? Does that old app still work with IPBX2020?

I'm in the process of a major modification for Blacklist. I'm not too happy that it doesn't show you when it was blacklisted, nor by whom. Working on an upgrade that will show who, when, and also send an email alert out to let you know that a new number was added (or removed) from the blacklist.

Nice, it would be great to right click and blacklist a number from CDR Reports or another way from the gui as well, it all seems like a manual process at the moment.

Hmm... hadn't considered that one. I'll concede that would be nice, but then that works into the CDR reports, which we plan to modify anyhow, so I don't think we'll include it in this. The major parts of this that I like are that it gets much more detailed info, and notifies the notification email that its been done. The other thing is we added the *33 that allows a user to program it to a blind-transfer BLF - so that when you answer the phone and its a telemarketer or the like, you simply press the Blacklist-BLF - and it blacklists them and then sends them to your preferred blacklist destination.

Can you just dial *33 as well and have it do the same thing while incall?

I've only tested this on the Incredible 2020 platform so far, but if any brave souls want to test this out, PM me and I'll get you hooked up.
