Busy detect settings

For the busy detect setting, is there a setting to set the tone to listen for.

I was just on the phone with my ex-wife and she was explaining a sound that her car was making and the system hung up on her.

I checked the logs and it showed that the system detected busy and hung up .

So this don't happen to someone I really want to talk to how can I refine my busy detect.

Currently i have it as busydetect = yes
busycount = 6.

Well, if it ain't broke, leave it alone.

You should have just said "my friend", or something. I think you unintentionally left yourself open to kidding, but hard to resist. My apologies!! I once had "a friend" like that too, so I empathize.

At risk of sounding irreverent to your ex-wife, there are certain sounds that can be detected as busy or disconnect tones, this tends to happen with women, particularly those squawky voices.

Usually a 60 a day habit should bring the voice down the tone of the voice to a more reasonable pitch, but that may be impractical as a solution.

Suggest you tell her to stop squawking, making car noises, and definitely keep away from animal noises, as your asterisk system is detecting these as busy tones / disconnect tones.

Other than that, I'm not sure that you can do anything, except keep away from women with a voice that sounds like your ex-wife's - which is possibly good advice in anycase.

Since I could not come up with a LEGAL solution. I will crank up the number of busy detects to see if that will help.
