I'm trying to set up service with Call 48 (sister co. to v1voip).
Their tech supp provided this info:

Please send outbound to us to term.call48.com or 38.130.255.100.

Below are the configuration settings you should have setup on your PBX system:

Origination:

1st server
207.239.159.171 SIP
207.239.159.174 Media
Domain/proxy sip1.call48.com

2nd server
38.130.255.68 SIP
38.130.255.95 Media
Domain/proxy sip2.call48.com

3rd server
69.85.136.128 SIP
69.85.136.130 Media
Domain/proxy sip2.call48.com

Termination
38.130.255.100
Domain/proxy [email protected]

I've already set up a SIP trunk (copied sip info from a v1voip trunk) and plugged the '[email protected]' into host field.
I can successfully make outbound calls.

When I try to call inbound I get a message that the number is not in service.
The relevant error from cli seems to be
[2020-10-20 10:16:38] WARNING[32682][C-0000000c]: Ext. s:7 @ from-sip-external: "Rejecting unknown SIP connection from 38.130.255.68"

So I assume this has something to do with the 3 Origination servers above but I have no idea where to plug that info into IPBX.

So close, yet still so far away :(
Please help!

You need to use PJSIP for the trunk and put all of their IP addresses in the "match" section of the trunk. Either that or set up 4 separate chan_sip trunks; one for each IP.

Ok, I think I see what you're saying.
1 think though is they provide two server IPs (sip and media) under each "server" section and also a domain/proxy fqdn which seems to resolve to yet a third IP.

So do I enter both IPs, all three (2x IPs and 1x fqdn), or just the FQDN for each?

So therefore I put 6 IPs (or 6x IPs and 3x FQDN or just 3x FQDNs) in the pjsip trunk?

Please and thanks.

[email protected], did you mean term.call48.com?
Yeah, sry. Typo'd the forum post.

So update. Got it working. Call48 coughed up a word doc with instructions (attached*), that oddly had very little to do with the info above. Just 1 IP address above was needed ( 38.130.255.68) and a bunch of other info I didn't already have so probably I wasn't figuring this out on my own.

Also, for the next traveler, you still need a separate trunk for the outgoing which gets pointed to the term.call48.com host.

hth someone somewhere.

Just an FYI

That IP resolves to sip2.call48.com and most likely relates to the region you have selected for your endpoint (if they offer multiple regions)

If you set it up using PJSIP make sure you add all 3 endpoints incase they are updated or if your region's endpoint goes down (failover will have it come from one of the other ips)

Just add these to the match line
sip1.call48.com sip2.call48.com sip3.call48.com

and you should be good to go if they ever update their ips or if one ever goes down.

Looks like call48.com is not going to serve customers who spent then $100 per month. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Check ClearlyIP too
ClearlyIP does not seem to provide DIDs.
Based on what I found, every US DID provider must charge E911 fee for a service with outgoing calls.
Seems like the only way to avoid E911 fee is OBiTALK via Google Voice

Try BulkVS. They do not require a 911 setup or fee unless you activate E911.

You dodged a bullet, they were a disaster wrapped in a hot mess trapped in a dumpster fire.

Try Flowroute.
