When a call comes in it shows correct CID and if I transfer the call with ##ext# it shows the same CID info, but if I use the transfer button on my phone it transfers the caller but the CID is that of the phone that transferd the call. :confused5:
Obviously the transfer button sends some kind of signal to asterisk as it plays moh and completes the transfer is there some place I can tell it what CID to use.

This (##ext#) is an attended transfer - so the caller really IS the originating extension.

Try using unattended (*2ext#) transfer instead.

The CID of the outside caller is shown on the phone when you transfer the call using ##ext#. but when doing a transfer with *2 it shows the CID of the phone transfering the call, which is ok but when you release the calling party to the phone the CID should now change to the CID from the outside person as thats who you are now talking to. Is there some place we can change which CID is used.

This is an issue for me too. Let me know if you get it resolved.
